Vanessa brings a multidisciplinary background spanning clinical healthcare, psychology, healthcare management, and personalized patient support. She began her healthcare education with a degree in Medical Assisting, developing an early foundation in clinical environments, patient interaction, and the practical realities of navigating healthcare.
She later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Master of Science in Health Care Management from Johns Hopkins University. This combination of healthcare, behavioral science, and management education has shaped her approach to medical travel—one that recognizes that seeking treatment abroad involves far more than selecting a doctor or comparing prices.

Her leadership emphasizes clear communication and continuity so that individuals are supported throughout the medical travel process rather than simply being referred to a provider and left to navigate the remainder of the journey independently.

Before MyMediTour was created, Vanessa faced the need for a surgical procedure that was prohibitively expensive in the United States. She began researching the possibility of receiving treatment internationally and experienced firsthand many of the challenges medical travelers encounter: determining which providers could be trusted, understanding unfamiliar healthcare systems, communicating across borders, comparing treatment options, organizing travel, and trying to make an important healthcare decision without a reliable source of guidance.
That experience helped inspire the creation of MyMediTour.
Vanessa and her co-founder developed the company around a different model of medical travel—one centered on personalized guidance, international provider coordination, greater transparency, and continued support throughout the entire journey.
Today, Vanessa continues to lead that mission as MyMediTour expands its international healthcare network.
